Education: Physics over Fear
I’m a teacher at heart, and my site is devoted to the often-confusing world of navigating conversations about race in the 21st century. If you have ever stumbled inadvertently into a conversation that seemed to have landmines littering the terrain, then you’re in the right place. I’ve been there, too. I’ve survived. I’ve even managed to keep most of my friendships.
I am a lifelong Tennessean. My small town in the rural West Tennessee provided the backdrop where I first learned lessons about race and racism, and like most people, I have a complicated relationship with the places that have shaped me.
